La chambre avec vue doit être placée à l’endroit duquel on peut contempler le paysage de son choix, celui qui nous apaise ; elle sera ensuite fixée en partie à ce qui existe sur le terrain, de préférence au moins à 80 centimètres du sol. Si cette hauteur est supérieure, un escalier escamotable est prévu. On accède à la chambre par une grande porte ; en cas de forte chaleur, elle peut être maintenue entr’ouverte, tout comme la fenêtre située au niveau du visage. Allongés à l’intérieur, protégés par une transparence bleutée, la vue qui s’offre à nous donne le sentiment que la chambre est placée au centre d’une maison sans mur, sans fin, uniquement constituée d’un paysage et d’une ligne d’horizon. Eclairée de l’intérieur, la chambre devient à la nuit tombée une grande lanterne bleue. Sans avoir à s’y rendre, on peut, en la voyant au loin, se souvenir des sensations que l’on éprouvait lorsqu’on y était installé.

Room with a view should be placed where you can contemplate the landscape of your choice, the one that soothes you; it will then be partly attached to the existing ground, preferably at least 80 centimetres above ground level. If this height is higher, a retractable staircase is provided. Access to the room is via a large door; in hot weather, this can be kept ajar, as can the window at face level. As we lie inside, protected by a bluish transparency, the view gives us the feeling that the room is placed in the center of a house without walls, without end, consisting only of a landscape and a horizon line. Lit from within, the room becomes a great blue lantern at nightfall. You don't have to go there, but when you see it in the distance, you can recall the sensations you felt when you were there.
